Is it possible to be an entrepreneur and have serenity? Successful business owners challenge the idea that these two entities cannot co-exist with lively discussions of real-life business woes, their secrets to success, and where they land on the path to finding serenity in both their business and personal lives! Who are the voices in the podcast? A group of business owners with diverse skill sets coming together to share stories of starting their businesses, as well as their successes and challenges, all in hopes of imparting knowledge and inspiration, and a chance to feel connected with others. Our podcast features a panel of six, charismatic women: an accountant, a lawyer, two grant specialists (tax credits and government grants), a risk and finance consultant, and a marketing expert. Our virtual fireside-chat style is casual, yet informative, while we address a wide range of topics and questions from entrepreneurs who don’t know where to turn to for direction. Drawing from our real-world experiences in the often daunting world of entrepreneurship, we provide resources and advice for business owners. Whether you are in the early planning stages, you run a well-established business or you are looking to expand your operation, we can provide you with the guidance to thrive in these ever-changing times. Our podcast is a forum to give back and help our community of amazing entrepreneurs while we aspire to achieve the elusive notion of “Serenity Now”.

In this episode, the Serenity Sisters are joined by Neil Belenkie, a serial entrepreneur who shares some of his key business insights he’s learned over the years.
Neil discusses some of the issues he has gone through as an entrepreneur and how he has recognized through trial and error (lots of error!) how some people have built-in spidey senses in business, and some don’t. However, just because you don’t have this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go into business. To mitigate risk and ensure success, you can adopt a more methodical process to identify red flags in people and companies.
Neil shares some examples of red flags he’s learned to watch out for when considering someone to add to a team.
